Product Detail
GroundWorks Natural Ice Melter is an outstanding organic product crafted to combat the harshest winter weather. It outperforms traditional ice melters and is 100% environmentally friendly. This ice melter is extremely powerful, effective down to -23°C (-9°F). It's gentle on lawns and plants, making it a great choice for your outdoor spaces. With concentrated power, it quickly breaks down ice without leaving any messy or oily residue. Instead, it turns into a colorless and odorless liquid. It's also safe for pets and won't damage concrete. The product comes in a convenient resealable 10 lb (4.53kg) bag. To use, first remove excess snow. Then spread the ice melter evenly over the surface at a rate of 50 - 100 grams per square meter (1/4 to 1/2 cup per square yard). Let it work to break the ice bond and then remove the remaining ice and slush. You can also apply it at the start of a storm to prevent hard ice from building up. Caution: Don't use it on unsealed concrete, brick, exposed aggregate, pre - cast steps, or concrete less than 12 months old. Using it on damaged or inferior concrete may cause more harm due to the freeze - thaw cycle. Make sure to remove all slush and melted water from the concrete to reduce the risk of damage. Too much ice melter left to accumulate can harm plants. Warning: Keep it away from children. It's harmful if swallowed as it contains potassium chloride. If swallowed, give the patient milk or water, make them vomit, and call a doctor right away.
Using GroundWorks Natural Ice Melter is easy. First, get rid of as much snow as you can. Then, spread the ice melter evenly on the surface. Use about 50 - 100 grams for each square meter, or 1/4 to 1/2 cup for each square yard. Let it do its job and break the ice. After that, remove the leftover ice and slush. You can also put it down at the start of a storm to stop hard ice from forming. There are some things to watch out for. Don't use it on unsealed concrete, brick, exposed aggregate, pre - cast steps, or new concrete that's less than 12 months old. Damaged or inferior concrete can get more damaged because of the freeze - thaw cycle. So, be sure to clear all the slush and melted water from the concrete. Also, too much ice melter sitting on plants can hurt them. And keep it away from kids. If someone swallows it, give them milk or water, make them throw up, and call a doctor immediately. There's no special maintenance needed for the product itself, just store it in a cool, dry place in its resealable bag for future use.
