Using your PetSafe YardMax Rechargeable In - Ground Fence is easy. First, bury the boundary wire in your yard according to your desired pet boundaries. Then, connect the transmitter to a power source using the provided power adaptor. Put the rechargeable receiver collar on your pet, making sure it fits properly (it fits neck sizes 15 - 71 cm). Before letting your pet loose, use the ReadyTest® and PerfectFit tests to ensure the collar is working well. When your pet approaches the boundary, it will first hear a warning beep, and if it continues, it will get a static stimulation. Remember, the stimulation will automatically stop after 15 seconds to protect your pet from over - stimulation. You can add more pets to the system by getting additional YardMax Add - A - Dog® Receiver Collars. For battery maintenance, recharge the batteries every 3 months as they usually last this long per charge, and the recharge time is 2 - 3 hours.
